JEE Maths: Complete Guide for Class 9-12
Mathematics is the highest-scoring subject in JEE and the one where consistent practice makes the biggest difference. Whether you're in Class 9 building foundations or in Class 12 targeting JEE Advanced, this guide covers what you need to know.
JEE Maths at a Glance
Why Start from Class 9?
JEE Maths isn't something you can cram in Class 12. The topics build on each other:
Number Systems and Polynomials form the base of Algebra. Coordinate Geometry basics are needed for Straight Lines and Conics in Class 11.
Quadratic Equations directly feed into JEE Algebra. Trigonometric ratios are the gateway to advanced Trigonometry. AP/GP concepts expand into Sequences & Series.
This is where JEE-level content begins. Trigonometry, P&C, Conic Sections, and Limits are entirely new and heavily tested. Class 11 topics make up ~40% of JEE Maths.
Calculus alone (Differentiation + Integration) accounts for ~30% of JEE Maths questions. Vectors, 3D Geometry, and Probability are high-scoring chapters.
